THE WINDOW STORY SO FAR

Those of you who have been visiting the shop, may have noticed the different window displayS since Christmas. What people may not be aware of, is the ongoing storyline behind these displays.

After Christmas it showed the New Year celebrations of a young couple. These two 'people' got engaged on Valentines day and in March purchased their first house. They attended church over Easter to announce their Banns and are currently in the window getting married.

Taking 12th scale to a time measure, each month has been a year, and I have a feeling that there may be a baby on the way, so we will have a nursery theme during May/June. July/August will see a lovely holiday scene, and if you keep up to date you will see what happens next.......

If you cannot get to the shop, I intend to post pictures from the window going forward. Unfortunately I did not think to take pictures earlier, and many, many people have commented about our Halloween window.........so I will try to keep you updated!!

Please note these are pictures taken before the renovation of the shop. New pictures will be added shortly. we have lit glass cabinets on the ground floor, and in our artisans room. Our DIY room is at the top of the building, but we do have 'books' for you to browse and staff that can 'run the stairs' if you are not able to :)

One room dedicated to houses alone and come the spring/summer I hope to hold workshops in the small walled yard out the back, or possibly in the cellar. (Provided the ghost does not bother you!!) Look out for more information in the New Year.
