Unfortunately you cannot reach the shop by car, as during the hours of 10.00 to 16.00 it is a pedestrian walkway (Heritage Trail)

From A12 turn off at junction 27 Colchester (please note that going east there is no Jct 27!!. You need to exit at 26 and double back to 27 just half a mile)

At bottom of slip road take second exit to town centre

Wide road, but approaching roundabout keep to right hand lane and

Take third exit signed town centre and garrison (red military sign)

Keep in right hand lane and at roundabout take third exit, up hill

Keep to left hand lane up the hill, but approaching the zebra crossing and roundabout you need to be in the middle lane to turn left, still keeping in middle lane.

Over traffic lights, (Salvation Army across road, Inland revenue office on left.)

Then St Johns car park on left hand side (This is above Iceland)

Park and go down in lift. Straight ahead out of shopping centre and turn right.

Go down hill to zebra crossing and cross over, up the ally and up the steps (Sheergate steps)

At top of steps turn left and immediately right.

The shop is just up the street on the left hand side, open at 10.00 weekdays and 09.30 on Saturdays

(If this carpark is full - Christmas time - go on to traffic lights and turn immediately left, left into St Botolphs car park)

Go down in the lift, and turn left out of the carpark. Walk up hill crossing over road until you reach the zebra crossing mentioned above. If you get lost, ask for the Sheergate steps or the library which is opposite the shop.
